Dear Friends,
This month we celebrate the Day of Restoration of Lithuania’s Independence.

Freedom is the greatest joy for each and every one of us. Lithuania celebrates its independence not once, but twice, and this holds special meaning for our small country. The freedom of nations, the human right to choose where to live, what language to speak, who to love – all of this is unbreakable from our identity and values.
The current events in the world urge us to reflect more deeply on the path we will take moving forward. What do we truly value, and how do we protect these values when the foundations of democracy begin to crack? However, I believe that together, strong and united, we will not remain indifferent to what is happening in the world. We will ensure the future of our children, engage our critical thinking, and safeguard our rights to freedom.
I cannot fail to mention Ukraine. I truly believe that soon, here, a person from Ukraine will stand and say:
“Today we celebrate Ukraine’s peace and freedom.”

With love,
Giedre
