Dear friends,
We have already reached the fifth month of the Gregorian calendar. May is a captivating period for both hemispheres. From the North, where spring is gradually blooming into summer while in the South celebrating the beautiful colours of autumn and its harvest. Luckily we all belong to the NIC and there are members from both sides of the Earth; which is to say, that we always have someone to celebrate with!!!
In addition, for those of us who are currently in Brussels, the explosion of colours and light may be two of the most distinguishing features of May. However, I am mindful that the perception of colours and their meaning depends on each person´s culture, life and personal experiences.
Indeed, “The Pantones’s Color of the Year”, (and this is something I have learned through one of our NIC activities), reflects and unifies trends in fashion, beauty, design and home decor. It also serves to capture the spirit of the time as a way of therapy.
According to this, it is not surprising that vibrant light yellow has been one of the two colours selected for the year 2021, as a message of strength and hopefulness.
Would you like to explore the light and colours of May while exercising and being favoured with the beauty of the Brussels outdoors and at the same time enjoying the company of other members of the Club? If so, do not hesitate to join our sportive activities of NIC. Our two leaders of the activities, Hike with me and Nordic Walking will be delighted to welcome you.
Meanwhile, we will be thrilled to see you at the next Coffee Morning on the 11th of May that our Coordinator is preparing for you to enjoy and learn, as always, something new!! This is the best place to meet each other and share our experiences as everyone has something to offer. This time a published author and member of the NIC will show us the magic of writing with the details that this process entails. Please, do not miss this unique presentation!!!
