Last week, my daughter and I came across this quote by Connor Franta in a book. I didn’t realize it, but I needed that reminder. There is a lot going on in the world and it’s easy to get wrapped up in it and feel overwhelmed. However, as I sat there with my daughter, those words and her
presence empowered me to shift my attitude and appreciate the compassion and beauty in my everyday life. Life is not all sunshine and roses but when there is sunshine and flowers in bloom in Brussels, allow it to make you smile.
This spring has been absolutely gorgeous and the perfect setting for the many NIC hosted activities in April – including the ‘hike with me’ led by a new activity leader. We have many more to look forward to in May so please let this message be a reminder to you, to seek out the things and people that make you smile.
