Dear Friends of the NIC!
The NATO International Club is more than a club for cultural, learning, or free time activities; we are also able to make a difference to those in need of help, and this month of November has certainly been a time of giving our time and talents in support of Charity.
There is no fund raising inside the NIC, however we are often in a position to make donations and this year was exceptional.
Most recently, we participated in the NATO Charity Bazaar on Sunday 17 November. It was a rewarding experience to be part of that greater community, working together toward helping others. Our NIC Table was the result of many members contributing time and talents – sewing, baking, printing and arranging the displays were followed by sharing, smiling, laughing and creating new friendships.
This was a good opportunity for us to promote our club, and also showcase our club. We are under the NATO ‘umbrella’, however what we are, and what we are able to do is the result of our efforts. It is a significant achievement!
