Dear friends,

Happy 50th ANNIVERSARY of the NATO International Club!!!!

It was in 1970 when a small group of women founded what it is now our Club. These generous ladies had in those times enough vision to create a circle where their members could have the opportunity to establish new friends, share experiences and enrich their stays in Belgium. Therefore, let us dedicate this message to all of them.

When I asked some of the former members of the Board for the archives of the NIC, they did not hesitate for a moment to go through them. Boxes full of folders, archives, CDs and booklets were given to me as well as 150 memorable photos. This means that I have had many hours of real enjoyment.

It has been a nice trip traveling back in time and an honored privilege for me to see all of those handwritten and mechanical typewritten documents. I wanted to share some of these unique archives with all of you, so the NIC website will have a new section devoted to the celebration of our 50th Anniversary.

Honestly, I would not like the NIC 2020 season to be remember by the year of COVID19, but rather the generation where their members forced themselves to experiment with new technologies with enthusiasm so that we could keep connected with our activities and friends of the NIC. Let the spirit of those women who achieved the goal to set up our Club be among us today.
