A message from the President
Dear Ladies,
The leaves turning on the beautiful background of this mild and multi-coloured Belgian autumn are a sure sign that we are approaching that time of the year in which we will be much engaged with the NATO Charity Bazaar preparations and the Christmas festivities.
These occasions will be our Club’s activity focus for the next couple of months and this Newsletter will provide a sneak preview of the main events and initiatives but I would encourage all of us to share ideas and proposals to make this time of the year truly special.
The Bazaar on 16 November will be the usual amazing opportunity to support good causes while sharing bits and pieces of our diverse cultures and lifestyles in a unique setting. Join us in the buzzing crowd and help make our Club known to the NATO community.
Talking about good deeds, do not forget that on 19 November Emma has kindly volunteered to provide space in her house to collect clothes, toys, linens, etc. to support the families being assisted by the De Stobbe charity. I hope we will all be able to donate generously and help those in need.
Other upcoming activities include Majbrit’s workshop on 25 November to teach us how to make festive decorations for cosy Christmas homes, and other friends will take care of our gourmet side by opening their recipe books for us to learn new treats. Both activities promise to be good fun together and I’m sure they will see a great attendance.
I hope you will enjoy reading our Newsletter and that I will see you all at the next coffee morning.
Ciao!
Carla
